- just come early to the workshop you wish to take at the Movement and
Learning Center (upstairs from the French Broad Food Co-op (FBFC), 90
Biltmore Ave.) or Orange Peel (101 Biltmore Ave.)

101 with Panty Raid! Join Lulalicious of Nashville's award-winning Panty Raid! for a dazzling introduction to the art of Burlesque. This hands-off, clothes-on class is the perfect place to get a taste of the art of the shimmy, tassle-twirl, and the distinctive showgirl walks of midway and catwalk. Celebrate your inner pin-up goddess, whether you want to burleqsue in the boudoir, stagelights or on the silver screen. |

Bellydance
Bellydance is a cultural tradition with roots in the Far &
Middle East. BUT bellydance, both authentic & fanciful,
has long been integral to the mysterious worlds of Burlesque,
Circus & Sideshow. This class offers Tribal Fusion Bellydance
with a touch of sassy, classy Burlesque. Incorporate the Burlesque
attitude into your dance repertoire by learning a short choreography.
Then, we drill the ruffley pants off of it! |

Hula
Hoops with MelMacPink This hoopdance workshop includes a basic yoga warm up, and an introduction to basic and intermediate hoop moves. Learn to move with the hoop not only on your waist, but your hips, thighs, knees, arms, hands, neck, chest, and shoulders! Use the hoop as a fitness tool for sculpting your body, relaxing your mind, and uplifting your spirit. Unwind as you open up your inner spiral by learning to dance and find grace with a hoop. Class will be taught in a group setting with some one on one instruction. To finish, enjoy a short performance and cool down. A limited number of hoops will be provided. Please bring your own if you have one! Hoop to see you there! |

of Burlesque The Syrens, Veronica Lashe and Talloolah Love, dug into the oldest history books to teach this class. Beginning in 411 B.C. through the 1950s, these lovely ladies will take you through the ages for a history lesson you'll never forget. With handouts for all the student to take home; you'll learn the origins of burlesque, funny anecdotes from it's hay day, and some of the most outrageous strategies and gimmicks used in burlesque. |

Bendy Lindsey (Lindsey Morrow) is a contortionist and aerielist trained with Firefly Dance in NYC, and has performed on numerous occasions with Baraka Mundi. This class will emphasize deep stretching useful for movers of all descriptions as well as the aspiring contortionist. Partner balancing and acrobatics open up a world of possibility for performance artists of every genre.
